What is the essence of a Laboratorium?
Lukas Laboratorium is a personal blog and portfolio. It is a base for experiments—a place where new ideas, doodles, and sketches intersect. The main motivation is simple: to enjoy the process, to refine the craft of communication, and to explore new perspectives arising from the need to test, to mix, and to observe creative work at different stages of maturation. Visitors will find both content closely related to the author’s profession—particularly in the field of environmental data—as well as his amateur explorations of drawing, painting, modeling and sculpting, or writing short stories. It is therefore entirely reasonable to ask: What is the point of running a blog about such disparate topics? The author might reply ironically that even an apparent mishmash can, through the course of a process, mature into a delicate dish—provided it is passed long and thoroughly enough through the instruments of the Laboratorium.
